As provided in N.C.G.S. Section 160A-375, no person may subdivide his land except
in accordance with all of the provisions of this chapter [appendix]. In particular,
no person may subdivide his land unless and until a final plat of the subdivision
has been approved in accordance with the provisions of Section 78 or Section 79 and recorded in the Edgecombe County Registry.
(b)
As provided in N.C.G.S. Section 160A-373, the Edgecombe County Register of Deeds may
not record a plat of any subdivision within the town's planning jurisdiction unless
the plat has been approved in accordance with the provisions of this chapter [appendix].
