§ 19-113. School zones.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or drive any vehicle at a speed greater than twenty-five (25) miles per hour in any school zone during a period of time of thirty (30) minutes prior to and thirty (30) minutes following the times when such school begins and ends its daily schedule.

    (b)

    For the purposes of this section, a school zone shall be deemed to be that portion of any street abutting any school property for a distance not to exceed five hundred (500) feet on either side of such school property.
