§ 14-2. Appointment of additional police in emergencies; mutual assistance agreements.

  • (a)

    Whenever an emergency arises requiring the same, the town manager shall have the authority to employ or appoint as many qualified police officers as may be necessary for the extent of such emergency.

    (b)

    The chief is authorized to enter into law enforcement mutual assistance agreements with other law enforcement agencies in accordance with the provisions of G.S. section 160A-288.
